As She Wakes

A gentle radiance, cloud and land parting,
A beauteous gleam, though love unrequited.

A breath speaks its waking word,
As it opens eyes of the weary, dawn greeted.

“Mother!”, her children speak, stirring from slumber,
Our gilded sky, brilliantly does she shine.
